Texas Whitetail Deer Hunting
Most of the whitetail deer hunts at Shonto Ranch are conducted in traditional Texas style box blinds and safari style. Hunting safari style allows deer hunters to cover the entire ranch in a day and be more selective in the trophy that is harvested. Our whitetail hunters usually see between 100 whitetail bucks in a day.

Our management program requires that we be selective in the trophy bucks that we take, ensuring that whitetail consistently reaches maturity on our ranch. Our year-round supplemental feed and food plots contribute to the body and antler development of our whitetail deer, and our hunters reap the benefits. Every year, we produce trophy bucks in the 150-160 class, and each year lucky hunters harvest trophies even bigger, up to 185 so far. And with our management disciplines in place, each year the potential for bigger and bigger whitetail grows.
